American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics Primary Certification in Pediatrics
The American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics (AOBP) Pediatrics Written Exam is the remotely proctored, multiple-choice examination for initial primary certification in Pediatrics. It uses eight 50-question sessions, each timed for 60 minutes, and follows a broad blueprint that includes preventive care, infectious diseases, neonatal medicine, behavioral health, organ-system pediatrics, Osteopathic principles and practice, and professional topics. The EBP-EAP Examination is an online assessment of core paediatric knowledge for eligible trainees and qualified paediatricians. It uses 120 Best of Five multiple-choice questions over 2 hours and 30 minutes, tests knowledge and applied knowledge, and follows the approved European core-paediatrics syllabus. Passing awards an EBP-EAP knowledge certificate; it does not complete specialist training or guarantee national recognition or entry to a training programme.
